Babywearing and Farming!

Today was beautiful out, so Penny and I decided to do a little bit of work outside. We got out our baby hawk mei tai and I strapped her onto my back. I don't know what I would do without my wraps!! We can get so much done together, and Penny is happiest when she is in her carrier.

The ducklings are messy and love to play in the water so their pen needs to be cleaned often. They enjoyed a little bit of time in the yard while I hosed out their tub and refilled their food and water. We put their old bedding in the compost bin and took out some table scraps too. Chuck has a lamb that he will eventually slaughter for meat and he needed a bottle. He has to eat three times a day so we have to spend some extra time with him while Chuck is working. We have moved the chickens into the goat's pen and they are loving all the extra space and the chance to eat bugs and weeds. We went down there and enjoyed watching them for awhile. We also spent a little time walking Nixon.

Eventually we moved inside and got the laundry done and did a little cleaning. Not as much fun as being with the animals, but it had to be done. With all the windows open and the breeze blowing, cleaning is not quite as bad. Penny was either sleeping or watching quietly the whole time! We love babywearing!
